Great career breakout work!  It would be the style that propelled him into stardom and this is a shining example of it.  You get so much more character work from him with that European influence.

Travis Charest began bis career at Wildstorm with a style strongly influenced by Jim Lee. He gradually developed his own style which made him very influential among other artists. This is a great example of the new style that he developed, with uniquely stylized characters and very memorable faces. Look at the four panels on the top right and you can read the characters' attitudes without any words. Here, Travis is inked by the very talented Richard Friend, who really brought out the best in Travis' work. Fantastic pick-up, Ben, congrats!
