In this sweet story reminiscent of E.B. White's classic "The Trumpet of the Swan," a little girl befriends a bear while visiting family in the Yukon. When she goes home, the bear searches until he finds her in Seattle. At this point in the story, the two have met again, and the girl is going to visit him at the docks after school.

The little girl is a comic book enthusiast and painter, which suggests that she has more than a little to do with the author of this work. He confessed to me that he loves painting landscapes, and his dream job would be illustrating backgrounds for Disney or Studio Ghibli.
