DescriptionNothing stops the Juggernaut!! Unstoppable you may even say…I am a pretty big fan of Cain Marko… have been since I was a boy. I have quite a few examples of him in my art collection. But this one is a biggie… both artistically and factually lol. The Chuck Austen Uncanny X-men run is not revered like some others for many reasons but Garneys art was not one of them … and this piece in my opinion may be the single best published solo image of the juggernaut. I’ve read a lot of comics he was in and have been racking my brain to come up with one that it better. You can make arguments for multiple character (James S Adam Kubert Wolvie Juggs comes to mind) or Battle pages (Uncanny 183 cover or Liefeld Xforce maybe) . But stand alone Juggs splash image?? I can’t come up with one , leave ideas in the comments I’d love to look, . This image was published as a single splash in the book but is actually a full vertical dps and the image is just massive as he should be! Ron Garney and Mark Morales worked magic on this as even though the figure takes most of two 11x17 you still get enough wreckage around to build the scene. Marks inks are thick and lush bring it to life. The image was also used in a Marvel Card game and is even what you see on Wikipedia when you look up the Juggernaut! I was able to make a trade for this.. and it hurt a bit but I can not thank Mike enough for letting me have this! Social/Sharing |

Only a vertical DPS can really capture the the mass of Juggernaut!

This piece has presence. It realllly has presence. What better way to show the massive size of the Juggernaut than a vertical dps so beautifully inked and in your face. Amazing!

The Juggernaut! That's, like, my favorite Marvel character ever, but you should never meet your heroes, because honestly, he's a bit of a dick! And like a lot of dicks, he's as hard as a rock, and causes nothing but problems!

Wow! What a killer full page splash of the Juggernaut! I love Ron Garney's full length portrait of the villainous mutant. And I especially love Mark Morales' powerful inks--He really manages to give Juggy the kind of solid bulk and massive musculature that you just know he has. It has my vote for the: Best. Juggernaut. Drawing. Ever.
