"Trapped in the Sargasso of Space!"
August 1979

This is the very very first page ever drawn by John Byrne on his legendary stage on Fantastic Four. The cover of that issue was drawn by Keith Pollard... Then... here it is! The first one!

I'm very happy and grateful to add this piece of history to my collection. Byrne and Sinnott, what a combo!!!!

The page has almost all. Title, credits, etc... are all original hand drawn. The page is full of characters. The whole FF team and the whole Challengers of Xandar (Powerhouse, Diamond Head, Nova, Crime Buster, Comet, Adora and Master Xar) .

There are some nice details. Art is originally signed by John Byrne and Glynis Wein. Art has the original Marvel registration number "LG465". At the bottom of the page, it also can be seen the "first price"...$50!!!!!!

John Byrne's first Fantastic Four page? And it's a splendid page one splash? Outstanding!! John Byrne run on the Fantastic Four was one the best runs of storytelling in FF history! Congrats on pickiing up page one of an epic era!

The whole team, and then some!  Can't get more classic than Byrne FF.  Also love how all of the lettering frames the central splash.  Another FANTASTIC get, Toni!  Congrats!

Beautiful and historic splash! Byrne's run on FF is one of the top runs of anything, imo, so it's amazing to see the first bit of art. He came out of the corner swinging! Huge congrats
