11-3/8x16.5" artboard has been cut out so as to act as a "frame" for spiral design stat sheet that has been attached w/masking tape. This stat sheet has in turn had cut out pieces of artboard w/pen and ink original art by comic legend Gil Kane (1926-2000), published by Marvel in 1976 as the cover for Marvel Classic Comics #2. Art was inked by Dan Adkins (1937-2013). Cover depicts characters from H.G. Wells' classic sci-fi novella; including the Time Traveler in the titular machine, Eloi girl Weena and one of the monstrous Morlocks. Additionally, sheets w/chronological dates that have been hand-lettered are cut out and attached to spiral stat, which also has some inked embellishments. Title and publishing indicia at top are stat pasteovers. Margins have scattered aging and glue staining, and bottom right edge has moderate staining and taped hand-lettered strip noting "Adapted From The Classic Novel. Art has some scattered soiling/staining. Fine overall.
