SOS was a Warren-esque comic magazine, published in Spain by Valenciana 1948-1984, w/four well-differentiated periods, existing first as a humor magazine before transitioning to a horror anthology format. This issue is from the "third stage," which ran for 58 issues. Offered here is the cover to SOS #45, published in 1983. 10x13" artboard w/attached vellum overlay features mixed media original art for cover, w/large evil face being summoned over coffin. This ties into first story in this issue and has title/issue number in blue ink at top margin of both art and overlay. Art is unsigned. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this cover art was created for.
