SOS was a Warren-esque comic magazine, published in Spain by Valenciana 1948-1984, w/four well-differentiated periods, existing first as a humor magazine before transitioning to a horror anthology format. This issue is from the "third stage," which ran for 58 issues. Offered here is the cover to SOS #49, published in 1983. 10-1/8x14-3/8" artboard features mixed media original art for cover, w/large, evil-looking face menacing nude woman who covers herself w/sheet. This ties into first story in this issue and has title/issue number in pencil at top margin. Three aged pieces of tape along top margin that once attached overlay. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the comic this cover art was created for.
