New Mutants #5 (209) pages 4-5: Bad news from Scott

On this spread, Scott breaks the news to Dani: Because she has lost her powers, Sam did not include her on the active duty roster for combat missions. But she'd be a really good teacher! Dani does not take the news well.

The first panel is an establishing shot of the island haven of Utopia, with its waters extending subtly down both sides of page 4, fading off into white on the pencil page but into deep blue on the colored version. Notice the fine detail on Dani's headband on page 5, barely visible in the last panel of page 4 as well. The colorist chose to flat out the fine shading on Scott's shades on page 4, perhaps to make it match the appearance on page 5.
