New Mutants #5 (2009) pages 16-17: Sparring to reconciliation

On this spread, Sam and Dani punch their way to an understanding; he will allow her to participate in combat missions despite having lost her powers. But he keeps her trademark hair feather as a souvenir.

Note the row of tiny silhouettes at the top of the right hand page, implying that their fight was more than just a couple of seconds long. Unlike the more cartoony half-splash a couple of pages back, Dani's sucker punch is depicted more realistically this time around. Baldus hid Sam's return punch behind another panel so he didn't have to draw a girl getting slugged in the face.
