Description

I was aware of Jesus Blasco (1919-1995) as the illustrator of Valiant's "The Steel Claw" and a few stories in Creepy and the Marvel black and whites, but it was my friend David Roach who showed me the original art to Blasco's masterpiece "The Long Way Home". The story was told in 25 parts in the British children's weekly Treasure back in 1970. It followed the adventures of two children who journeyed across Roman Britain in the hopes of being reunited with their parents. Each tier of panels is 7.5 x 12.5 inches.
