Macbeth (K. Briggs adaptation) story page 68

Multimedia piece from K. Briggs’ incredible adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. There’s diverse techniques on display, including some collage work as wells as more traditional comic style ink drawing. I scored it through Avery Hill Publishing’s Kickstarter.

On the page Malcolm and Donalbain have just found out their father is dead, and are discussing plans to escape to England and Ireland.

The second image is of the painting “The Two Princes Edward and Richard in the Tower” (1483 by Sir John Everett Millais), which is referenced in the outline. (I am not erudite enough to have caught this myself, saw K. Briggs discussing it on their instagram.)
