Mateus Santolouco is probably my favorite of the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artists. This was a late night, browsing the internet, commission while he was in the US for a convention in Raleigh, NC. But since I was going to see him at Granite Con in Manchester, NH I asked the rep to let me pick it up there (and waive the shipping price).

Mateus did a great job with The Last Ronin which I don't think he had drawn previously.

Santolouco was the first artist for the IDW run that really clicked for me. His run on Cityfall was amazing and made the story that much more impactful. Great choice to get his version of Last Ronin!

That color on the lens and the background block is cool. I like how the reds are not smooth and reflect an inner cauldron of emotions!
