DescriptionYou ever see one of those pages on Heritage and say, "I gotta win that page no matter what!"This was one of those pages for me. Not afraid to admit that Power Pack was one of the first superhero titles I collected after G.I. Joe. It was my gateway book to the X-Men as Nightcrawler and Shadowcat guest starred in any earlier issue. Now #27 not only had a Wolverine guest appearance but also Sabretooth as the issue was set right at the beginning of the "Mutant Massacre" crossover. This comic was my first experience with a comic selling out at my local comic boom shop which back in '86 was about 35 miles from me and was only able to visit once or twice a month. Luckily the shop owner was super cool and made sure he would have a copy for me the next time I was in town. Props to the Penny Ranch in Chico, CA Social/Sharing |

Bogdanove and Gordon pack a whallop with the wind up and the follow through using the space on the page to maximize impact!

I remember feeling very insecure inking Jon. His pencils were very soft and I really wasn't sure what to do with them... But this looks REALLY nice to me now. The sound-effect Zip is a little much, but hey... : )

Thanx so much! : )
Jon's Penciling changed dramatically over the years. Originally they were a little like Curt Swan... but by the time he was doing Superman, they were a LOT tighter. I woulda loved to ink him them. : )
