11.25x17" Sparta artboard has pen and ink original art by John Byrne for cover to Action Comics #588, published by DC Comics May 1987. Art features great image of Superman in space alongside Hawkman and Hawkwoman. Dark portion of space is printed pasteover as published and has some white correctional fluid to illustrate the sun's flares. Top margin has inked title, issue number and publication info on provided lines. Noted Superman artist Byrne has signed Newsstand/Direct rectangle " To Keith - Thanks" in black ink. Small penciled flight note at bottom center margin. Exc. Classic cover art featuring the Man of Steel and the Winged Wonders.
