...I mean. Wow, right?

I had been planning to have Dave do a piece for me at NYCC. He requested three options, but I really wanted Ultron the most, and thankfully thats what he went with. He actually finished it a week before the con and posted a process video, so I had a pretty good hunch it was mine.

However having it in person is something else. This is a masterpiece, and so much more than I could've asked for, and frankly I don't feel like I even paid enough lol.

I have met Dave a few times before as he lives in the same city as me, but this is my first piece from him. Hes seen a lot of my portfolio and I think he was happy that it was me picking this up. I gave him a copy of my zine, and at his request signed and remarked it... my first remark ever. Every other commission he did was amazing, he doesn't do half measure, even a sketchbook sketch is a fully made masterful piece.

I could gawk at this for a while, and find new things to appreciate, I love that theres an implied narrative here, as Ultron has recently destroyed a city and stands triumphantly with the head of his own son. A showstopper of an image that encapsulates the rage of Ultron.
