DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x14.25" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Werewolf By Night Vol. 2 #9, which reprints Werewolf By Knight story from issue #33 (second appearance of Moon Knight). Published in Spain by Mundi, c. 1975. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/white title bar at top of art and showing a similar composition that was based on art from the US issue cover #33 by Gil Kane. Moon Knight has been rendered in an unusual red/yellow color scheme instead of his traditional white costume. Artboard has lt. aging/handling wear but art remains bright and clean. Exc. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters. Superb and dynamic cover art. Social/Sharing |
