"Los Luchadores Del Espacio," or The Space Fighters, was a long-running series of paperback sci-fi novellas published in Spain by Editorial Valenciana every 15 days during 1953-1963. A total of 234 novels were published, and this lot features mixed media original art for the cover to No. 183, published in 1961. Thin artboard measures 7x9" and depicts couple surrounded by fire watching space ship emerge from ice to attack another ship. Title has been neatly hand-painted/lettered w/"Colección Luchadores Del Espacio" title stat pasted at lower left. Left margin has hand-painted story title and "Professor Hasley" name, w/thumbprint to painted title. Artist name signed at lower right corner. VF/Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the novella this cover art was created for.
