15.25x26-1/8" Masonite board w/mixed media original art for front cover to VHS cassette box for 1987 release of 1927 silent comedy starring W.C. Fields. Art was created by noted illustrator Charles David de Mar, an artist known for his fine art film illustrations, which were occasionally utilized for home media release such as the one offered here. de Mar depicts dog jumping up at a perturbed-looking Fields. Unsigned, but the artist has boldly written his name on back of board along w/"Dec. 1986" date. Art has acetate overlay (w/extensive sizing notations) and two heavily aged vellum overlays (which show obvious wear) attached at top. Art displays Exc.
