Howard the Duck (Vol. 5) Issue #04 Pg 20

No way!  Howard the Cosmic Duck?  There's not a lot I miss about no longer buying or reading comics, but this page REALLY has me itching to check out the full story.  I thought I had seen it all in my 50-plus years of reading comics, but this may take the cake for coolest (and weirdest) thing ever!  Congrats buddy!  Not sure if there is anyone else in the hobby who can claim to own a Cosmic Duck splash.  

I was loving what I was reading. Some good stuff in both Vol. 4 and 5. Very excited for my cosmic Duck. Thanks Eric!

Damn, they all make me smile. I will be broke before we know it lol. Luckily, some just a smidgen more than others and this would be one of them.

Ah, shucks! No Power Cosmic Duck L'Orange. Weirdly enough though Loki was in my dreams last night and called me his directions man. Yep, thats right. I am DIRECTIONS MAN lol. Imbued with the power to tell you where to turn next. Possibly the worst super power ever, but hey I'll take it.

Quinones is one of the better Howard artists I've seen over the years. 

He definetly put in the hours and its noticable. I'm a fan of the duck. Probably has something to do with my birding hobby.

It looks like they have a company called Saskatoon Waterfoul Outfitters. My guess is that they've been trying to put clothes on ducks for years. Also, I am going to have to look at James S's post for the good of the community. You know... Like a Cupbearer. 

Like how the image kind of feels like 2 different types of art on each side.  On the left got more inks, the Krackle, and that hazyish rendering on the Howard figure, while on the right you've got some cleaner lines.  Super effective.  Congrats, Ian!

I truly appreciate your comment. I hadn't thought about it, but so true. Unbeknownst to me, it might have drawn me in for that reason.
