Description

Not sure if this is a prelim or just a sketch, but Mark told me it was based on a Xenozoic Tales scene. One of my premere pick ups at the 2006 Baltimore Con. I must say, that Mark is a really nice guy and easy to talk to, it was a real pleasure meeting him.

Hi.
A strange piece to me it does not look like anything from Xenozoic.
I need to get back to my boxes and research this.
A enigma for me.

Mark is such a talented artist. Congrats on the Schultz artwork! It was great to see you again this year and I hope to see you at the next show.

G'day Dave, just wanted to offer my congrats on your acquisition of this very cool Mark Schultz piece. The background machinery is very Xenozoic Tales in appearance and the foreground characters certainly resemble Jack and Hannah. It might be a scene from an unpublished XT issue! I was lucky to meet Mark in 1994 at SD Con and he kindly allowed me to purchase a couple of examples of his art - such an unassuming and modest person.

I'm not saying this is published, he just told me that is was an idea for Xenozoic Tales. It was an idea he got from another painting, but I'm pretty sure he never used it for anything. My comments might be a little miss leading from before, sorry about that. Thanks for the positive feedback.
