Description

First appearing as a character in the "Metamorphosis Odyssey" in Marvel's Epic comic magazine in the 80's, Vanth Dreadstar grew into a lead for his own book, and new stories are continuing to this day.

In this issue, Starlin's hero fights a battle within his own mind and Starlin's pencils are ably supported by Joe Rubenstein.

Innovative layout and storytelling! Starlin's creative freedom in one of the early instances with Dreadstar was crucial to creator rights within the big two and led to better incentives for creating comics as an artform.
