Red and Rover (2023-06-04) by Brian Basset

Red and Rover by Brian Basset tells the story of a boy and his dog. They are devoted to each other and, yes, each knows what the other is thinking.

It fits quite nicely into my collection of comic strips.

The lot contained (much to my surprise):

• The original pen and ink drawing
  
• The hand colored color guide submitted for printing
  
• A preliminary for another strip which I need to research

This strip was part of an auction run by Bill Cox of the Comic Art Fans website for the National Cartoonists Society Foundation's 2023 Ruebens Award fundraiser.
