DescriptionLately, I have been on a quest for works by the "old masters". This is the Jungle Jim topper that accompanied Alex Raymond's Flash Gordon Sunday from 24 April 1938. Here, Lil claims Jim dumped her and seeks revenge on Laura Krantz... the blonde-haired hussy. In the last panel, Jim is in disguise arranging for transport to Borneo. Have to love those sultry Raymond women!The Flash Gordon is in another post. Both strips were rendered in ink over graphite on two separate illustration boards. They have a combined image area of 21.5" x 27.5", and both strips are signed. Social/Sharing |

Another fabulous JJ example! Raymond was always great, and it's fun to see how his style evolved over his years on this strip and Flash Gordon
