Description
Size: 33 x 17
Year: 2015

My love for Dungeons and Dragons started around the same time I picked up my first sword and sorcery novel at the age of 14. This love translated into being a huge fan of Conan, Red Sonja and more. When Joe Mad started Battlechasers, it struck an instant chord. Here you have the classic paladin in Garrison, the mage in Knolan, the tank/golem in Calibretto, the foxy redheaded rogue in Monika and our kid who picks up the magical guantlets in Gully. And this was all in glorious Joe Mad art. What could go wrong?

Joe Friggin makes me so Mad stopped the comic at issue 9 in 2001 on a CLIFFHANGER and after 16 years we got some content in the form of a JRPG game, Battlechasers Nightwar. It was an excellent game (one I would definitely recommend) since I was a fan of that genre too but sheesh that took some time. The story also recently picked up with issue 10 to 12, 6 years after the release of the game and its still ongoing.... heres to hoping it doesnt take 22 years for the next issue to show up. THE WORLD NEEDS MORE BATTLECHASERS CONTENT!!

Back to the piece, this was done in pencils by Joe Mad for NYCC 2015 and it has all the main characters, immediately ticking the box for me. I have loved this piece since some 3 years back and after some magic, it eventually ended up with me. I love this piece so much that the colored version is the desktop background to all 3 of my computers and is also the banner that graces my CAF page. Do not let the poor picture fool you but the pencils do translate well even without the inks in person.

You can tell he still loved the property and RPG's too to go back to it after so many years and still creating the art at a high level to show the passion.
