Like the unique perspective!
FANTASTIC!!! Powerful and Stark...Very BOLD!!......Congrats!!
The background remind me Ghost in the Shell or Akira.
Great cover!
The background is the star! It's probably based off a photo of Hong Kong that's in a NY gallery.
Fantastic use of backgrounds and light to center the characters and create some depths. A modern master.
Happy birthday to you!!!
I was sooo tempted to bid on this piece. Such a good get. Félicitations!
Hey! Between the artist, the cover owner, you and me, we have hella strong Canadian and French Canadian content here. Vive le Québec et l'Ontario! Oh, and congrats on the cover acquisition, Eric!
Beautiful image! Love the background element and of course am a big fan of Magik. Just a terrific pick up!
Beautiful cover from Immonen.
Great cover. I love it when artists play with the scale of the characters in relation to the background. Congrats!
Beautiful - congrats Eric!
X-cellent score, Eric. Congrats!
What a way to set a scene! Whether it's his sequentials or a splash like this few can mess with Immonen on the storytelling front! Big congrats!
Terrific write-up, Eric, and you're not kidding: this one is all about the technique. A brilliant composition, flawlessly inked, that utilizes the darkened foreground alleyway walls as a foreboding border frame to spotlight/highlight the destroyed apartment building in the background. And details, details, details! Power lines zig-zagging, signs outside of abandoned stores (mostly non-English signs to enhance the feeling of isolation for our heroes...). Absolutely fantastic. It looks like Illyana's posture was changed from a wide stance to a more reserved one, which beautifully serves the story and depth of feeling of the piece by putting our heroes on a more guarded alert. LOVE it. And more than just a pretty picture, it also fulfills the essential purpose of a cover: hooking the reader and getting them to buy the book: What's going on, and what is this awesome (and unusual) duo of heroes going to do about it? Breathtaking work by Stuart and Wade. My most sincere congrats - this one is an absolute KILLER.
Absolutely stunning cover by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger. Beast and Magik have arrived...where? It's clearly a city, but it's falling apart. Is this a dystopian future? These are the kinds of questions that covers like this arouse in readers and compell us to buy to comic to find out what's going on. Handsomely composed by Immonen and superbly inked by Wade, it's a beautiful piece of art. Serious congrats on a fabulous pick-up!
Wonderful cover!!! Congrats

Cool cover!
This is a great illustration. I don't usually say this, but it looks really great colored.
