DescriptionAs a big fan of both Cap and Superman , seeing them Interact and having supes carry caps shield in battle was an awe striking moment for me. There might be more dc / marvel events in the future but I doubt anything will even come close to matching the heights this comic rose to. I am elated to finally have a piece of this history with me.Thanks so much to Michael for letting this page go. Social/Sharing |

Great Scott, Kit!! I can't imagine what a thrill it would be to land a page from this landmark series; my most sincere congrats on doing so!! A beautiful testament to not only the artistry, but the storytelling prowess of George Perez.
Space was at a premium in this book, and Perez used each square inch of every page to wring the most out of each story beat, character exchange, and battle scene. I love how George used the vertical layout here to create a sense of "breathing room" between the characters (all preparing for the upcoming final battle in their own personal ways), with every conversation in its own "column", but he links them all within the space of the JLA Watchtower through beautiful reveals of the spatial relationships between them. The viewer -never- feels lost on the page, or unable to understand where everyone is in relation to each other. And then (from a purely comic geek POV :) ) Cap handing his shield over to Superman for the upcoming battle?!? Comic book history! A once-in-a-lifetime moment! Congrats on such a fantastic pick up, Kit! What a beauty!
