Jeffrey Brown is probably best known for his Star Wars work, e.g., Darth Vader and Son, Vader's Little Princess, Goodnight, Darth Vader, and Darth Vader and Friends plus his Jedi Academy books.

However, he first made his name with some semi-autobiographical works (the "Girlfriend Trilogy) and other works. The latter include his Lucy and Andy Neanderthal books that explore - to the degree what science can provide an understanding - the life of Neanderthals.

It's Lucy and Andy that are featured in the faux S&S 100 cover. They are doing the obvious - babysitting S&S. S&S are dressed to bring to mind Pebbles Flintstone and Bam-Bam Rubble from the Flintstones.

I should also mention that S&S also met Darth Vader long ago and in a galaxy far away.

From concept to execution, Brown doesn't miss! This is even more finely finished than his Star Wars work. Maybe Brown can make Sugar and Spike as Leia and Luke someday.

Another superb addition to the Sugar & Spike 100 collection! Jeffrey did a marvelous job on this piece. Lucy and Andy fit beautifully into the world of S&S and vice versa. And I must concur with Rob about the excellent use of gray tones. Congrats on another great S&S acquisition, Alex!
