Description
Sad to hear of the recent passing of Jose Delbo, an artist who is perhaps best remembered for his long run on Wonder Woman in the late 70s and early 80s. This page is from the pre-Crisis storyline that saw Diana return to Paradise Island, having abandoned the dumpster fire world of man after the death of Steve Trevor. Fearing that something is amiss in the outside world, Queen Hippolyta calls for a tournament to select a new champion to wear the tiara. Whoever among the Amazons will prevail, I wonder? (Hint: it’s not Artemis)

A gentle beauty of Delbo and Hunt's line of Diana at her most vulnerable.  The panel breaking elements on the page all look so natural.
