Spirit Section May 27, 1951 "King Kwang" p 2

Never thought I'd be able to secure a complete Spirit twice-up story, but here it is!

In this story, the Spirit finds himself in a small Korean town taken over by the thug King Kwang. On this page the Spirit tries to get a handle on things by chatting with a local. The Spirit is featured prominently on this page, and I particularly enjoy that moody sixth panel.

Per Denis Kitchen, the art throughout the story is principally Eisner but most of the detailed backgrounds are probably by Andre LeBlanc and Klaus Nordling. Soon after this time in the Spirit's publication, Eisner started handing off most of the art duties to assistants.
