The one and only Bill Everett! That's quite a find!
Holy moly! What a stunning portrait of the Sub-Mariner by the legendary Bill Everett. Everett was one of the greatest comic artists ever and he shows that in this gorgeous illustrastion. I love the lean but powerful physique he gives Namor here, not over muscled, but strong and athletic. I love the way he rendered the ocean here too. The rippling currents and the coral reef provide a great background for the monarch of the sea. The colors Everett used are beautiful as well. I love how the blue of sea pushes the flesh colored torso of Namor forward. Great pick-up!
