Gunslinger Spawn

This was an interesting challenge I took on. I haven't done that many Spawn sketches since I was a kid, let alone a Western version. But when Spawnuary came up and the call went out to any artists that wanted to tackle different versions of Spawn, I thought why the hell not? While I couldn't finish classic Spawn in time, I did manage to complete the Gunslinger Spawn just under the wire. Etched on 11 x 17" 100 lb stock card with the submission page PDF format, this is an inks-only pose of the time-displaced Hellspawn. I had to listen to a lot of Bon Jovi and heavy metal to keep myself in the mindset to convey this brooding, dark figure brandishing his smoking pistols. Fingers crossed this gets put on a cover, Champions. On that note it's off to bed for me. #spawnuary #spawnchallenge
