Iconic. This must be one of the earliest depictions of Dredd's enormous shoulder pads. The original design by Ezquerra (and McMahon) started a lot smaller. Well done!

I find this splash wonderful because it is a splash of Judge Dreed in its original 2000 AD publication. It is also one of the first stories drawn by the master Brian Bolland. A great page, congratulations

Masterful with Bolland's art showing the slumping shoulders of Dredd. So much more effective when seeing this from the back as his normal body language is emboldened when the Law is on his side. You can almost believe that his facial expression is the opposite of the fiery Judge Cal before him.

Wowza! What a cool Brian Bolland Judge Dredd title splash! I love this piece, with Dredd facing the judges, hanging his head low in shame. It's so beautifully composed and drawn! I love the small top panel showcasing the futuristic Mega City One. And I love the faces of the Judges accusing Dredd. The whole page is perfect, and the inking is superb! Great use of screentones as well. Really, everything about this splash is perfect...except it's not in my collection. Bummer.
