X-Men #51 Page 1 - Professor X & Bishop

I certainly feel nostalgic with an X-Men page where the opening panel is a shot of the X-Mansion followed on by a shot of Professor X using Cerebro.

Xavier had just finished fixing Cerebro after Banshee was forced to destroy it, lest it fall into the hands of the Phalanx. The Professor is shocked to discover a large energy spike coming from New Jersey and Bishop takes off post-haste to investigate.

Pascal Ferry’s pencils with some polished inks do well to add dimension to the scene. Feels like Xavier is coming right out of the page. I’m not sure who inked this one as there is three inkers credited for the issue: John Dell, Mark Morales and Vince Russel.

I own the color guides for this issue as well. Superbly done by Marie Javins, now Editor in Chief at DC Comics.
