Marvel Graphic Novel #17: Revenge of the Living Monolith (1985) page 34: FF in battle

Silvestri and Isherwood were both doing some of their earliest work for Marvel on the bimonthly Conan the King book when they were tapped to work with writer David Michelinie for this serious take on the somewhat goofy Living Pharaoh/Living Monolith villain that Arnold Drake and Roy Thomas had introduced back X-Men #54-56 from 1969.

On this page, the Monolith has teleported three members of the Fantastic Four to his Egyptian base, where he has all sorts of minions and tech ready to subdue them and suck cosmic radiation from their bodies. They don't go down without a fight, but they do eventually go down, setting the stage for his confrontation with the Avengers and Spider-Man in Manhattan.

I took the page to MegaCon Orlando 2024, which both Silvestri and Isherwood attended. I had hoped to get a picture of the two artists together with it. Marc had limited availability, so I contented myself with separate pictures.
