Description

William (Bill) Messner-Loebs is an accomplished comic book writer, penciler, and inker. He did this for me some time ago, but through the miracles of miscommunication, I didn't know that until recently.

His friend Mike sent it to me promptly.

It was then that I realized that I hadn't asked who the "troll" is. I've asked, but Mike hasn't talked to Bill about it yet. I think it might be a self-portrait, but I don't know. One day!

2024-02-20: I heard from Bill. The character is Fitzhugh from Journey not Wolverine. Both feature in the series Bill wrote in the 80s called Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire set in 19th century Michigan.

I think it's pretty interesting.

Pretty amazing work by Messner-Loebs if you knew his situation. It has the same kind of theme as Journey from the 80's.
