Swords of the Swashbucklers #6 (1986) page 17: Scramble the jets

The space pirates have decided to visit Earth, home of their young crewmate Domino Drake and her family. In a scene often omitted from "alien visitation" stories, the U.S. Air Force immediately detects an unknown object approaching American airspace, and scrambles fighter planes.

Two different artists commented to me that they were impressed with the way Isherwood drew the chain link fence on this page. The "satellite's eye view" in panel 4 has some interesting rendering as well.
