DescriptionThis is the prelim from a six part storyline in Starman. Thanks to some background info from John Cogan, I found out that this piece is actually an Alex Ross prelim (originally attributed to Tony Harris). Alex and Tony collaborated on the covers but Alex confirmed this prelim was all him.The piece is about 11 x 13 and features (clockwise from top left): Jack Knight, Will Payton, Mikaal Thomas, Prince Gavin, Starman 51, and Ted Knight, with Thom Kallor in the background. This piece displays in a frame nicely but it's in rough shape. Lots of crumples and two or three tears. A lesson to myself to only buy pieces that Heritage lists as "Fair condition" if they are truly unique (which this clearly piece is). And, had it been in better shape (and properly attributed), it would have been out of reach for my budget. Social/Sharing |

Looks great and overcomes any flaws with it's powerful impact and unique design of an ambitious 6 covers connecting in one.

The flaws, to me, actually increase the interest in the piece. It's part of the history of the process artifact. I love it and I even bid on it, but I knew it was going to go out of my reach at the time. Congrats!

"Prelim"...right. I know it technically is but it's so finished! Love the design layout, and you got some great detail on every character. Congrats!

HELL of a prelim!
Sounds like you really lucked out on this score.
A good art conservertor could probably fix the condition issues you listed.
