Description

Digital painting from a traditional, and then digitally altered, pencil sketch. Really wanted/tried to nail the lighting on this. Painted everything as it would look with natural (noon on a sunny day) light and then added lighting effects in Photoshop using a lot� A.L.O.T. of layers! The fire was fun. The hair was even more fun. The metal claw was a pain in the ass. Painted using a Huion Graphic Pen Display GT191. Based on a character from an old sword and sandal movie starring Steve Reeves, "Goliath and the Barbarians" but taken far enough in a different direction that I consider him mine.
