Description
Justice League of America (2006) #56 Pages 4-5 Title DPS

Pencils by Brett Booth
Inks by Norm Rapmund

From the story "Eclipso Rising, Part Three: The Battle for Emerald City". This was from the last storyline of this run of Justice League before the New 52 happened and everything was rebooted.

Eclipso (The Spectre's predecessor as the Wrath of God) assembles an army by possessing heroes and villains that have darkness based abilities, including:

Syththunu (A shadow god who resembles Cthulu, but definitely is not Cthulu)
Shadow-Thief (Carl Sands, a villain who uses a vest called the Dimensiometer that lets him shift into a two-dimensional shadow being, he's right below Syththunu)
Bete-Noire (Henri Zola, A villain from France who can manipulate shadows, he's the ape-looking monster to the right of Shadow-Thief)
Acrata (Andrea Rojas, A hero from Mexico who can teleport within shadows, she's on the lower left of this spread dragging some poor guy away)
and a bunch of others who aren't on these pages, and he adds to his army by possessing heroes who confront him . Eclipso himself is visible here standing on one of Syththunu's tentacles.

Eclipso takes his army to the moon to attack Alan Scott's Emerald City and to also take control of Alan’s daughter Jade, who's vulnerable to his control due to the darkness in her heart after being resurrected from the dead during the events of Blackest Night. While this is going on, the rest of the league are held up by something else going on at the same time, leaving Donna Troy without much backup to defend Emerald City as seen in these pages where she tries to use her Lasso of Persuasion to free Jade from Eclipso's influence.

Also happy leap day, figured you don't get a chance often to post on February 29th so I held this one back to post today. Edit: thinking about it now though, I should have waited until April 8th to post this on the day of the solar eclipse!

Right up your alley with the curvy lady body types!  In action and in bondage, Booth and Rapmund has all this action make sense in this full field of a grand DPS!  Leap Day at play in this playground of action!

The lasso of persuasion. What I wouldn't give to have that. I would have so many bologna sandwiches.
