VIEW AUCTION LISTING HERE!Havok & Wolverine: Meltdown was a four-issue miniseries released by Marvel under their Epic Comics imprint 1988-1989. Written by Walter Simonson and Louis Simonson, it featured art by Jon J. Muth and Kent Williams. Beautifully painted, the story told a tale of two X-Men on the run - Wolverine and Havok - as they are caught in a web of international intrigue. Offered here is a 12x17.25" Strathmore illustration board bearing ink and watercolors mixed media original art by Williams, used to pitch the series to Marvel. Art features image of Wolverine at top, crouching down in civilian clothes, claws unsheathed on one hand. Below him lays the still body of a woman, her nude body partially covered by a blanket. Blood seeps from beneath her body. Williams has signed art at lower right, adding "1985" date, showing just how long this project was in development. Bottom margin has inked "Wolverine" name and number. Margins have some scattered aging/dust soiling, but art remains clean and Exc.
