"The Francis Blake Affair"
1996

"Blake and Mortimer" is and it will be one of the most ever relevant runs of the clear line. The European Style.It was created by the legendary Edgar P. Jacobs (an Herg� disciple). Benoit was picked out to take care of the revival of the classic 'Blake & Mortimer' comic with scriptwriter Jean Van Hamme, after their creator Edgar P. Jacobs had passed away in 1987. "The Francis Blake Affair" is the first album created after Jacobs.

A favourite artist on a favoruite run. Ted Benoit also became a legendary artist of the clear line.

This new post could make you think that I'm out of my scope but, I deeply love the european comic art.

It's a nice subtle split between the have and the have nots as it changes with the center panel for 5 panels of each. Both sides have table scenes, but the decor and the wardrobe changes a lot. Thicker tables, a view of the docks instead of a book shelf, etc. are all drawn with exactness.
