Description
Annihilation #1, released on August 9, 2006, showcases a dramatic battle at right flank 076, with Ronan and Kree forces fighting the Annihilation Wave. This page set the scene and helped ignite a cosmic event that transformed the Marvel Universe.

The Annihilation event was notable for having reset the cosmic landscape, by wiping away galactic empires and introducing characters that had fallen into obscurity. Later, some of these characters would help form the Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is a rare undamaged page from Annihilation #1, as much of the issue’s art was compromised, reportedly by an oily ink that bled pink over time. This was further exacerbated by the stacking of pages that bled pink throughout the interiors, from one page to the next. A rare gem from the debut issue of a defining Marvel cosmic saga.
