DescriptionI always enjoyed Bob Laughlin's work when I was a younger collector, seeing his daily strips show up in The Comics Buyer's Guide, but never really saw his originals show up for sale. I was able to snag this Kitz 'n' Katz daily in a recent deal and could not be happier with it. It's a wonderful mix of Bob's writing and drawing. According to Jerry Bails' index, Kitz 'n' Katz appeared in The Comics Buyer's Guide from 1981 to 1985. That may be the closest I'll come to identifying the exact issue.Edit: It was pointed out to me over on Facebook that Bob was riffing on the famous mirror scene from the Marx Brothers' "Duck Soup". I should have remembered that. I'll post a still from the movie in the additional images category. Social/Sharing |
