The design is to tie this legendary battle back to the age of cave drawings. The action of this battle happens on the board game frames while we marvel at the single inspiring Matt Wagner illustrated image!
Congratulations on a truly epic 2-pager which is also my favorite piece of artwork from the book! The main characters are spectacular and the other details Matt put into the piece are incredible! I love the detailed city background, the creepy-cool skull at the bottom and even subtle things like the lightning bolts at the top that draw the viewer's eyes to the main figures. I am glad this gem is in your fabulous collection!!!
