Strange Academy: Finals #2 (2023) page 16: The secret lab

This series by Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos is sort of "Harry Potter in the Marvel Universe," with faculty including Doctor Strange and Doctor Voodoo. But Doctor Strange is dead at this point in the story, and students like Doyle Dormammu are left to their own devices. On this page, the kids find one of their classmates being used as a lab rat.

Ramos is known for his manga-influenced figures but doesn't skimp on background detail. When he drew this, he expected it was for issue #20 of the Strange Academy series. By the time it was published, someone decided to give the last six issues their own title and a new #1 for what would have been #19 of the original series. Note also that Ramos has his own custom-branded Bristol Board so that he wasn't dependent on Marvel to get him blank paper in a timely fashion. Get it together, Marvel! We like artists who work traditionally.
