A month after WWII ended!  Quite a momentus and optimistic strip with Superman's impending marriage hinted at here!  Two classic images of Superman in flight by Wayne Boring!

Wow! Very cool early Superman strip by Wayne Boring! I love the compostion of these panels! Awesome have Superman twice in this strip, both flying and landing! The whole strip looks great. Wayne Boring was such a terrific artist. I like the way his Superman is so heroic looking, while the other characters are so cartoony. Nice use of spot blacks as well. Stan Kaye was a fine inker. Great pick-up, congrats!

I just love these 1940's Superman strips! The stories are way different than the ones we read today but they were really interesting. This is a great example with wonderful art by the great Wayne Boring. I have a similar one from 1948 that has that same marvelous Wayne Boring style. Great pick-up, congrats!
