BLADE RUNNER – RACHEL COMMISSION by Darrel Bevan

"I'm not on the business; I am the business."

Needless to say, I'm a massive fan of the 1982 Ridley Scott Sci-fi film masterpiece - BLADE RUNNER. I've collected the comic books, posters, lobby cards and the Marvel comic adaptation original art splash page by Al Williamson. However, I've always wanted a great photo realistic Blade Runner image to complete my collection.
I recently spotted Darrel Bevan's incredible portraits on Facebook and knew he was the right man for the job. I had very high expectations, and Darrel knocked it out of the park, exceeding my expectations.
I suggested the image of Rachel and several other key elements from the film, and Darrel created the design.
I've commissioned lots of art before, but bar none, this was the smoothest and fastest one of all. I'd highly recommend Darrel.

Great symbolic imagery around the portrait! The smoke has the crime noir atmopshere that is so prevalent and heavy in the film. The sparkle in her eyes give us the illusion of life in this very fine pencil piece by Bevan.

Well done commission with some inspired design elements. Sean Young was perfect in this role as was all the other casting.

Stellar work! It has the look of a Blade Runner movie poster, so much so that I wish it had been!
