This page features the three primary protagonists up to this point:

Ellipses "Ellie" Howell — A survivor of the Event in Denver

Ava Quinn — A citizen from the other world, who has superpowers of her own and befriends Ellie.

Otto — The owner of a comic book store in Provo, Utah, who is Ellie's boss.

In this key scene we see the three characters discuss their options, as they are now on the lam. Ava notices a mouse... Otto & Ella head inside & Ava reveals that she has powers! Not only that, she uses them to torture and kill a mouse... kinda creepy
