Just as I swear that this time, I really mean it, I'm only collecting vintage art from now on, I get a shot at this and, well, here we are. But really, I do believe that Bob Eggleton is the finest SF illustrator presently on the right side of the dirt, and I couldn't resist this one, recently sold to me by IXer JP Griffin.

Wraparound cover illustrating the 1994 steampunkish novel by Stephen Baxter, which is now on my list.

Such a fiery burst of energy on the right to balance out the cold and icy blue planet on the left.
