THIS WAS PAINTED BY ME NOT AH ! ! It is my original blueline art for a Marvel 1993 Marvel Swimsuit Issue. This was a try out for me to get a chance to color Adam's blueline art for the used for Swimsuit Issue. Adam decided to color it himself and mine was not used. It is a rare upublished Marvel blueline and one of a kind. A similar blueline "that was" painted by Adam was just sold on EBay a week ago for $3000 so here is a great buy on a similar item except this time painted by "Avengers /JLA Colorist" Tom Smith. This 15 by 20 art is in amazing shape with vibrant colors and is a true collectors item and is signed by Adam Hughes " in person for me" and me painter "Avengers /JLA Colorist" Tom Smith.. . S&H is covered by buyer and I only accept Paypal only as payment . This is what a blueline is.. Like an animation cel the black line art is copied twice, once on an acetate overlay and once as a non reproducible blue ink blueline. These are sent to the color artist "me" to paint the blueline. I paint it in acrylic paint with brush, airbrush, and watercolors. The acetate blk line overlay is then taped over the blueline for photographing or scanning by Marvel comics. But now with computer color the norm in coloring of comics these days Blueline is not being done anymore. So they are quite rare and one of a kind. I have a lot of collectors buying the color blueline and then finding the original B&W art and hanging them side by side for a great display of comic art

I think it is important for collectors to understand that this particular piece was NOT "drawn by AH!" as it says in the first line. The line art was printed from an original by AH!, and then painted by Tom. Adam Hughes has had nothing to do with this particular piece.

Alison is right it is not the original drawn by Adam ! ..But it is a AH ! image. He did draw the image that was turned into this blueline copy ! Sorry if there is any confusion of what this peice is. I'm a colorist , I color other artists work. I do not color George Perez 's orginals that get printed , I color copies of them. I thought everyone who buys comics and comic art understood this. Am I wrong ?

Tom...don't tell Adam, but I like your coloring on this better than his. On the printed version, at least, the hues are too dark to do justice to the beauty of Adam's composition.
